‘FARC’ kill 5 police in north-Colombia attack

Alleged guerrillas of the FARC have killed five policemen in the north-Colombian department of Cesar, Caracol Radio reported Saturday.

According to the radio station’s website, the guerrilla attack took place in the south of the department, close to the neighboring Norte de Santander department.

The Army and National Police have sent reinforcements to the region.

In the northern region of Colombia, bordering Venezuela, several armed groups are active.
