FARC kidnap government official

Guerrillas of Colombia’s largest rebel group FARC Friday kidnapped a
government official in the Huila department, local media reported.

According to preliminary reports, rebels dressed as soldiers attacked the town of Garzon in Huila, killed three people and kidnapped a local council member. Reports conflict on who was kidnapped.

Earlier this year, the rebels released all politicians they had in
custody.
