FARC hostage’s health critical

The health of former congressman Oscar Tulio Lizcano, currently held
captive by the FARC, is critical, says Colombia’s High Commissioner for
Peace Luis Carlos Restrepo.

The health of Lizcano, who’s been held captive by the leftist rebels for more than seven years, would be inextremely poor condition, says his son Mauricio.

“My dad is very ill and the only think we ask of the FARC is that it responds to the Government’s call not to let him die in the jungle,” the son and current member of Colombia’s House of Representatives said Thursday.
