FARC forbid transporters entrance to south Caqueta

The FARC forbid all transport in the south of the Caqueta department,
logistics companies say. Trucks that do enter the area will be burnt,
the guerrillas threatened.

According to several transporters, the FARC have forbidden all transport on the highway connecting the towns in the south of the department with the rest of Colombia.

Local police admit the FARC are trying to paralyze transport, commerce and security efforts in the south Colombian department, but say that the situation is under control.

Truckers, ignoring the authorities assurance that everything is okay, refuse to travel to the south of the department.
