‘FARC’ filmed combat against Colombian Army (Video)

A Colombian Army unit seized film shot by the FARC showing a violent clash between the guerrilla group and soldiers in the southwestern Cauca department.

The film appeared to show a number of guerrilla fighters attacking a military unit in the Caloto municipality, located in the northeastern part of Cauca. In the footage, a number of FARC leaders whose faces had previously been unknown to the authorities appeared.

One of the fighters, under the command of alias “Caliche,” leader of the FARC’s Jacobo Arenas Column, filmed his comrades while they attacked soldiers with rifles, machine guns and grenades.

Authorities said the footage would be used for intelligence purposes.
