FARC computers reveal guerrillas recruited children

Files on the computers of FARC commander Gener ‘John 40’ García Molina,
reveal how the guerrilla group has recruited minors and uses them for
drugs trafficking activities, Colombian authorities say.

The computers were found after the Colombian airforce bombed a FARC camp on the Sierra de La Macarena last September 3.

According to the authorities, some of the over 9000 FARC guerrillas’ photos, nicknames and real names, are those of minors. Pictures of these minors show them wearing FARC uniforms.

Police Intelligence says the children appear to also be trained in handling explosives and landmines.
