FARC attack Neiva public services company: authorities

Rebels of the FARC Sunday attacked the office of the Neiva public services company, authorities say.

According to the director of the company, a man launched a two kilo mortar against the building, causing severe damage. The Army arrested a suspect minutes after the incident. The man was taken into custody. Police say the suspect is a member of the FARC’s ‘Teofilo Forero’ mobile column.

One neighbor was reported wounded in the attack.

The FARC is held responsible for several attacks on the capital of Huila in 2008.
