FARC arms factory destroyed, 4 guerrillas killed: Army

Colombia’s armed forces said Sunday they had bombed and raided a major arms factory belonging to guerrilla group the FARC. In the attack, four guerrillas were allegedly killed.

According to the security forces, the factory was located in the Arauca department and belonged to the guerrilla group’s 10th Front, active in the border region.

Among the killed rebels was “Viviana,” the alleged guerrilla girlfriend of 10th Front commander “Efren.”

The factory contained some 300 grenades and a ton of indugel, a gelatinous explosive used by the guerrillas in attacks on nearby towns.
