Colombian soccer sensation, Radamel Falcao, made an early exit on Sunday after suffering an apparent hamstring injury.
El Tigre, Atletico Madrid’s star striker, was taken to a hospital for scans after injuring himself on Sunday, reported local media.
The injury occurred during minute 13 of Atletico’s 2-0 win over Levante. Falcao played on until minute 57 when he could no longer continue.
Initial reports claim that there were no torn muscles, but El Tigre will have further tests done. He is expected to miss some games in the coming week.
Atletico coach Diego Simeone downplayed the injury.
Colombia is due to play a friendly against Guatemala in Miami on February 6. If Falcao does not return in time, Colombia will be without its lead scorer and its up and coming star, James Rodriguez, who is out with a torn muscle.
