Explosion kills 3, including child, in southwest Colombia

Three people, including a 3-year-old boy, have died in an explosion in the village of Chapa, Cauca department, southwest Colombia.

Police said the incident could be a guerrilla attack, but more information was required before anything could be confirmed.

Student Diana Bastides and another woman named as Diana Arcos died in the attack alongside the toddler. Another child was injured.

The police and the army said they would do everything possible to establish the cause of the explosion and find those responsible.
