Explosion in Huila leaves guard wounded

An explosion occured Monday morning outside a club in the town of Neiva, southern Colombia, leaving one guard wounded.

At around 3.30AM Monday a bomb exploded outside the Club Los Andaquies, which is owned by the Cooperative University of Colombia, located in Neiva, the capital of the department of Huila.

A guard was wounded in the explosion and according to the Huila Police Commander, Maria Jose Losada, after the first explosion, authorities found a second explosive cylinder in the road “which was waiting to be detonated when our patrol passed.”

Authorities are investigating whether the two explosives were deliberately placed at the entrance to the club or whether they were thrown by unknown persons, reported news site W Radio.
