The Colombian former professional soccer referee who was last month accused of sexual assault has filed a counter claim, reported Colombian media Thursday.
Originally it was alleged Oscar Julian Ruiz had invited former collegue and friend German Mauricio Sanchez to stay at his house, during which time Sanchez woke up in the night to find Ruiz touching his gentials.
But Ruiz has now hit back, filing charges of false accusation, slander and libel against Sanchez.
The incident is alleged to have occurred in December 2010, just months after Ruiz had been plying his trade at the World Cup Finals in South Africa.
Both referees have since retired from the sport.
