Ex-guerrillas lead army to arms stash

Demobilized guerrillas have led the army to a FARC arms cache in the south of Colombia, El Espectador reported on Thursday.

The former guerrillas, alias “Ramiro” and “Jaider,” provided the army with the location of the site along with insider intelligence into the FARC’s Teofilo Forero Castro mobile column after handing themselves in to the authorities in Caqueta.

According to the newspaper, at the site soldiers found 27 anti-personnel mines, 2 rifles, 2 pistols, 22 grenades, a mortar and ammunition, radios and uniforms along with FARC propaganda and documents belonging to the FARC’s mobile column, Teofilo Forero Castro.
