European Police organization Europol will help Colombia in
the fight against the FARC and other guerrilla groups,
European terrorism coordinator, Gilles De Kerchove, said Wednesday
De Kerchove announced during a meeting with President Uribe in the Casa de Nariño that EU ministers approved a cooperation between Colombia and Europol to share information about guerrillas movements in European countries.
“I will ask the Director of Europol to arrange a meeting at the Europol headquarters in Den Haag about the activities of the FARC outside Colombia,” De Kerchove said.
Supporting organizations like the FARC is a crime in Europe, the official said. “… we must strenghten international cooperations, exchange of information and intelligence,” De Kerchove added.
