Colombia news - envigado

Real Cartagena remain undefeated in the Colombian Liga Postobon but did give up two points as they allowed Envigado to equalize late on.

Cartagena were on course for yet another victory after Rafael Perez scored the opening goal in the 75th minute, but a foul from Jorge Baron got a red card and a penalty resulting in added time, with Neider Morantes converting the spot kick for 1-1.

Pereira remain in the top four of the table despite being held to a 1-1 draw at Cortulua. The home side even took the lead through Victor Bonilla in the 31st minute but disaster struck as Layneker Zafra hit his own target on 90 minutes to hand Pereira a point.

Atletico Huila were held to a 1-1 draw by Millonarios. The Bogota side scored the opener through Yovanny Arrechea in the 33rd minute, but Carlos Carbonero levelled seven minutes after the break.

Atletico Nacional dropped further down the ranks following a 3-2 defeat at Chico. Jairo Patiño netted twice for the visitors but it was not enough to compete with goals scored by Mario Garcia, Anthony Tapia and Wiston Giron.

America de Cali earned a 3-1 win over La Equidad, who just like Nacional have to take distance from the top spots. Sergio Galvan, Juan Angulo and Edwin Aguilar scored for the hosts, and only Herly Alcazar managed to do so for the away side. America had Carlos Preciado sent off in the 54th minute.

In the remaining match of the day, Cucuta Deportivo beat Deportes Quindio 1-0 thanks to a 29th-minute goal from Carlos Baez.

With four teams advancing to the next round, Cartagena, Junior, Medellin and Pereira are currently on course to qualify.
