Empire State building to display Colombia’s ‘tricolor’

New York City’s iconic Empire State building will don the yellow, blue and red of the Colombia’s tricolor flag Tuesday night, to mark the bicentenary of Colombian independence.

The top section of the famous building is set to be illuminated in the three colors from 8PM Tuesday, and was arranged by the Consulate of Colombia in New York.

On the consulate’s website Consul Francisco Noguera Rocha called on Colombians “to participate actively in the commemoration of the patriotic gesture.”
