ELN sacks spokesman after talking to Uribe

‘Galán’, whose real name is Gerardo Bermudez has been the face of the ELN for many years and was released from prison last year to negotiate peace. Peace talks held in Cuba resulted in nothing.Colombian president Uribe had invited ‘Galán’ to talk about continuing talks about peace Thursday in the presidential palace.In a statement the ELN suggest peace talks can continue, but stress the difference between the ELN and their former spokesperson about “the actions needed to search and find a political solution to the conflict”.
