Eleven men and women, who had disappeared from the south of Bogotá early this year were found
dead in the north east of Colombia, relatives and human rights
organizations say.
Some of the family members told W Radio their loved ones had been recruited by illegal armed groups. In some of the cases the disappeared had said they were going to meet a man about work and never returned.
Government officials notified the families the dead bodies of their relatives were found in the Departments of Santander and Norte de Santander, both bordering Venezuela.
Authorities did not release details of the circumstances of the eleven deaths.
