Electronica festival brings big names to Colombia

International celebrities have united in Colombia in preparation for the Celebrating Nature electronica rave on a Cartagena beach Thursday.

The party will include performances by world-famous Chilean DJ Luciano, Colombian vallenato legend Silvestre Dangond, and Colombian DJs including Sean, Giovanni Aparicio and Memek.

Shakira’s ex-boyfriend Argentinian Antonio de la Rue will join Luciano, Dangond and other celebrities to visit the indigenous Kogi tribe further up the Caribbean coast, as part of preparations for the Celebrating Nature event. The Kogi tribe are known for their continuous efforts to protect nature and reconnect humanity with it.

The event is intended to “reconnect all youth and people who like electronica music with nature, and to take people out of the clubs and and put them in a totally natural environment,” said de la Rue’s girlfriend and former Miss World Colombia, Daniela Ramos, who is also DJing at the event.

The party takes place from from 2PM to 12AM on Thursday April 5 next to the Sonesta Hotel on the Zona Norte beaches in Cartagena. Tickets cost between 70,000 (39.00USD) and 100,000(56.00USD) and can be purchased through the Tuboleta website.
