Electoral Council to investigate Bogotá mayor

The Colombian Electoral Council is to investigate Bogotá mayor
Samuel Moreno Rojas and his possible connections with pyramid scheme
DMG.

Supposedly, Moreno’s campaign costs exceeded the amount allowed for local elections in Colombia.

Recently it was unveiled that Moreno’s mother, María Eugenia rojas de Moreno, had a meeting with DMG representatives during the electoral campaign.

When asked last week, DMG founder and president David Murcia Guzmán did not deny having met with Moreno himself.

The 49-year-old Rojas, born in Miami, won the Bogotá elections on October 28th 2007 and represents the Alternative Democratic Pole (Polo Democrático Alternativo).
