The bus, carrying 35 passengers, was driving from Bucaramanga to Rionegro in Santander, when it first crashed into the mountain on the side of the rode and then got off the road and fell 200 meters down the ravine.Six people died instantly, another two died while being transported to the hospital. The wounded were taken to several hospitals in Santander.The police think mechanical failure caused the accident.
