(DNP)Economic growth could exceed 3.8%: Juan Manuel Santo

Colombia’s president was Wednesday optimistic about the overall economic growth results for 2012.

In spite of predictions as low as 2.8%, Santos believes growth could exceed 3.8%.

“Tomorrow we will know the economics growth figures of 2012. Birds of bad luck predict 3%, BanRepública 3.5%and MinHacienda 3.8%. I am a bit more optimistic,” Santos posted on his Twitter account (@JuanManSantos).

Colombia’s national statistics department Thursday will release the economic growth figures for the final quarter of last year, completing the growth rate for the whole of 2012.
