A mild earthquake shook the northeastern Colombian city of Bucaramanga Friday, leaving no reported injuries and damage.
The M4.5 earthquake took place around 5:30AM and had its epicenter 20 miles southeast of the capital of the Santander department.
The seismological incident took place in a region where earthquakes are common; last month a M4.5 earthquake hit exactly the same area.

According to radio station Caracol, local authorities have said there were no reports of injuries or material damage. However, they did express their concern about the recent frequency of the earthquakes.
Scientists recently released a study on Colombia’s geographical structure, explaining the relatively high number of earthquakes taking place in the country.
