Drunks continuously endanger Colombian roads

Drunk drivers are continuously threatening safety on Colombian roads,
recent research by Colombian police and the Road Prevention Fund shows.

Police tested over a million drivers on alcohol over the past few days. 15 thousand (1,5 percent) of the drivers tested positive, Caracol Radio reported Tuesday.

The number may seem small, but according to the Road Prevention Fund the majority of the 15 thousand were drunk as a skunk.

Police have announced extra measures for December to try to avoid accidents and deaths. December, a month full of Christmas celebrations in Colombia, traditionally is when Colombians drink most.
