Arcebio Alvarez, popularly dubbed the Monster of Mariquita, will have
to undergo a second DNA test to prove he is the biological father of
the daughter who claims to have eight children of him.
The first test proved he was the father, but was declared illegal due to a processing error. The Judicial Attorney ruled the Prosecutor General had not
obtained the permission required to conduct the test, thereby violating
the accused’s rights and rendering the test invalid.
Alvarez will now have to undergo a second test to have legal proof of incest.
