Colombia’s air force claims to accidentally have killed the favorite parrot of FARC commander “Mono Jojoy.”
According to a press release, “the terrorist bird flew into the front propeller of a Embraer EMB 314 Super Tucano during a Tuesday morning combat mission in the Guania department.”
The crash did not damage the aircraft’s propeller, the press release said.
“Identification of the deceased terror pet took until Thursday morning, because only the bird’s beret remained intact. However, information from the computer of ‘Raul Reyes’ led us to believe that Chirpo Fijo is the only parrot in the Amazon area wearing this type of beret.”
The air force said it had not intended to kill the bird, but considered the death a moral blow against the pet’s owner, “Mono Jojoy.”
