Alleged FARC threats cause rift between RCN hosts

Claims by RCN’s News In English host Brian Andrews that he was forced to flee the country by threats from guerrilla group the  FARC caused envy among fellow journalists, especially Guillermo Prieto, a.k.a. Pirry who called the U.S. anchor “an airhead not worth the threat.”

“I have been going in and out of the jungle for years and have talked to some of the country’s most dangerous criminals. It does not make any sense that the FARC chooses him to intimidate. The guy’s done nothing but happy-go-lucky touristy nonsense,” a visibly annoyed Pirry told reporters on Thursday.

“The guy’s a complete airhead that’s been more concerned with dating hot Colombian actresses than reporting on what is going on in Colombia. The guy doesn’t even know how to spell FARC, he is simply not worth the threat,” Pirry continued.

According to Pirry, “it’s guys like me and Hollman Morris, who actually report on what is going on in Colombia, that should be worried, but our visas to the United States are refused.”
