Fans of Colombian vallenato singer Diomedes Diaz will see him star in his first music video in 15 years.
The song, “El Pajuate,” is the second single to be released as part of Diaz’ new album “Con Mucho Gusto, Caray.” It tells the story of a man who has thrown himself so completely and innocently into love that he becomes a complete fool, or pajuate.
Vallenato is the folk tradition arising from Colombian minstrels who once traveled between towns to share news through song.
The popular Colombian singer won a Latin Grammy in 2010 and is the most widely recognized performer of the popular folk genre.
