Danes convicted for supporting FARC
The defendants were associated with a Danish company that sold T-shirts on the Internet with the acronyms FARC, or Revolutionary Armed Forces
of Colombia, and PFLP, the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine.
Both groups are considered terrorist organizations by the European Union and the United States.
The company collected nearly 25,000 kroner (US$4,770), but police
seized the money before it could be transferred to either group.
The six were given prison terms between two and six months in Thursday’s ruling.
The Eastern High Court reversed a decision by a lower court to acquit the defendants. (AP)
