Da Vinci’s machines exhibited in Cali

by Angela González December 4, 2009

Colombia news - Da Vinci in Cali

Cali’s Museo Tertulia in the coming month will be hosting an exhibit featuring replicas of machines and inventions by Italian renaissance artist Leonardo Da Vinci.

The exhibit will feature over 150 pieces and 3-D replicas of the Last Supper, Mona Lisa, The Virtuous Man, and the Sforza Horse.

According to museum director Maria Paula Alvarez, the expedition is part of a campaign in which the Tertulia hopes to expand its permanent collection. For the past month, the museum has been under construction.

The exhibit will be open to the public from December 5, 2009 – January 3, 2009. “Da Vinci the Genius” has already traveled to Medellin and Bogota. In May the museum will be hosting the Bodies exhibit, currently on display in Medellin.
