Cuban legend Eliades Ochoa brings Cuban son to Cali

The Alferez Real Convention center in Cali will be turned into “Little Havana” May 28, when legendary Cuban musician Eliades Ochoa graces the stage for a one night performance.

The guitarist and vocalist is famous for his participation in world renowned groups such as Cuarteto Patria and Buena Vista Social Club.

His mastery of the “Cuban son” -a musical style originated in Cuba which combines Spanish guitar with African rhythms and has derivatives including styles such as salsa- earned him a Grammy Award in 1998 for Best Tropical Latin Album.

The “salsa city” of Colombia is set for a legendary night with a legendary musician, Eliades Ochoa.
