Court workers turn down government offer

Colombian court workers union Asonal turned down the latest offer made by the government and says the 34-day strike will continue.

Bogotá Monday offered the court workers four percent extra salary over a period of two years. Judges would be receiving two percent more.

Approximately 90 percent of theColombia’s 40,000 court workers have joined teh strike and have caused an almost complete shut down of the judicial system.
