Court sinks evidence against alleged FARC infiltrant

A Bogotá court Wednesday refused the most important evidence in the
case again Marilú Ramírez, an alleged FARC guerrilla who had
infiltrated in circles around high ranked army officials.

Colombian Defense Minister Juan Manuel Santos reacted in disappointment. “There’s enough evidence that show Marilú Ramírez Baquero was a FARC-infiltrator in the army,” he told caracol Radio.

“We accept the ruling, but it does makes us sad,” he added.

Ramírez was arrested earlier this year for being an alleged infiltrator of the FARC in the army. The civilian woman had found access to the social circles of the highest generals and is accused of being responsible for a car bomb at a military school.
