Corruption investigation into former Senate president closed

The Supreme Court closed the investigation into the alleged corruption of former Senate president Nancy Patricia Gutierrez.

The congresswoman was investigated for allegedly improperly having outsourced a Senate contract, but the Supreme Court didn’t find there was enough evidence supporting the accusation.

Gutierrez is still under investigation for her alleged links to paramilitary leader ‘El Pájaro’.
