Cordoba will show proof of life of hostages

Opposition Senator and hostage mediator Piedad Cordoba says she will
present proof of life material of a number of hostages this afternoon.

The senator did not say how many proofs of life she had, but that she will hand them over to relatives of hostages at 5PM Monday.

According to spokespersons of ‘Colombians for Peace’, a social activist group that tries setting up a dialogue with the FARC, the receiving of the material was complicated because of FARC fears Colombian authorities would arrest those in charge of delivering the proofs of life.

Cordoba says she will have the proof of life of at least 8 of the 23 members of the security forces currently held by the FARC.
