Copa Mustang: Tolima and Junior victorious

Colombia news - Junior wins

Deportes Tolima are practically certain of a spot in the final phase of
the Colombian Copa Mustang following a 2-0 victory over Santa Fe.
Junior Barranquilla beat Medellín 2-1 to defend their second place.

A free kick from Rodrigo Marangoni put Tolima ahead afer 79 minutes against Bogotá side Santa Fe, and Wilder Medina beat keeper Agustín for 2-0 in injury time.

At the coast, Junior initially suffered against Medellín. The away side scored the opener through Luis Arias in the 15th minute. However, club icon Giovanni Hernández equalised seven minutes after the break and Emerson Acuña netted the winner in the 77th minute.

DIM’s John Restrepo was sent off in the 64th minute.

América de Cali earned a crucial win over Pereira, with Wilmer Parra scoring the only goal of the match after exactly 60 minutes, 1-0.
