Copa Mustang: Nacional too strong for Envigado

Atletico Nacional are a big step closer to a spot in the next round of the Copa Mustang II following Saturday’s 1-2 win at Envigado.

The match had been underway for 14 minutes when Ezequiel Maggiolo handed Nacional a 0-1 lead, although this goal was canceled out by Envigado’s Jorge Serna in minute 52.

But Nacional didn’t need long to restore their lead, as Giovanni Moreno made it 1-2 four minutes after the equaliser.

Nacional played the last 12 minutes without Segundo Ibarbo, as result of a second yellow card.

The match between Atletico Huila and Atletico Junior was suspended after 68 minutes as result of a power blackout, and the remainder will be played from 11 am on Sunday.

At the moment of the blackout, the score was 1-1 with goals from Huila’s Ivan Velasquez (penalty) in the 44th minute and Junior’s Teofilo Gutierrez in the 56th.
