Colombia’s James Rodriguez is apparently going to be sold to the Spanish soccer club Real Madrid as long as French club Monaco accepts the team’s $94.9 million offer, according to Spanish media.

French soccer club Monaco is asking for over $100 million for James Rodriguez, according to the Spanish AS sports diary.
The negotiations have not been easy, but if Madrid manages to sell Angel Di Maria this week to PSG for around $80 million, that money could go towards acquiring James.

The deal rests on Monaco, who initially wanted $135.6 million dollars for James, but later lowered their demands to $108 million.
If a deal does happen, it would be the most expensive contract signing ever for a Colombian soccer player.
According to the star’s agent, Jorge Mendes, James “just wants to wear white.” Mendes has reportedly been working for months now to move James to Real Madrid.
AS stated that an annual salary of $10.1 million dollars per season has been agreed upon. Rodriguez is considered among the best players in the world, especially after his incredible World Cup debut in Brazil. James was the top goalscorer and won the coveted Golden Boot with six match goals and two assists.

The Colombian soccer player scored a goal in each World Cup match and two against Uruguay in the second round, including the most memorable goal of his World Cup performance. James was bought by the French soccer club Monaco for $60 million in 2013, according to Colombia’s El Espectador newspaper.
