Colombia’s oldest man dies at 128

Colombia’s oldest man, the famer José Rosario Serrano Arencas, died Friday in a Barranuilla hospital at 128.

Serrano Arrencas was born in El Carmen, e village in the north eastern department of Norte de Santander on March 5, 1881.

According to his family, the famer had 24 children during his long life of who the majority died already. He had his youngest when he was 70 years old.

Serrano Arrencas’ secret for long life was to “be with God and don not think of the bad things”. 

The Colombian’s age is disputed. Officially, the world’s oldest person is U.S. citizen Gertrude Baines (115).
