Colombian exports rose 26% in November 2009 to $2.86 billion compared to the year-earlier month, the country’s statistics department DANE said Wednesday on its website.

Exports of oil, coal, coffee and ferronickel in November rose 90% from a year earlier to $1.70 billion, DANE said. Other exports fell 16% to $1.16 billion.

Exports to Venezuela fell 72% in November from a year earlier. The Venezuelan government last year restricted imports from Colombia after a diplomatic spat between the two countries.

Total exports over the first 11 months of the year fell 14% to US$29.66 billion from US$34.66 billion in the same period in 2008.
