Colombia’s legendary actor-turned-singer Carlos Vives will perform at the upcoming World Cup in Brazil, together with Brazilian singer Gaby Amarantos and US X-Factor finalist David Correy, newspaper Vanguardia reported on Tuesday.
The three artists will sing the Spanish version of “The Cup of All”, a song composed as a symbol of inclusion for the 2014 World Cup.
In addition to working on rehersal, the Colombian artist is currently finishing a music video for the song.
Vives, known for fusing traditional Colombian music with contemporary rock, took home three Latin Grammys in November in what was described as his musical comeback. He is considered to be one of Colombia’s must successful musical artists, now holding seven Latin Grammys in total, in addition to one Grammy from the United States.
