Colombia’s airlines increase flights for Easter

Two of Colombia’s biggest airlines announced plans to put on more flights to meet the demand for tickets during Easter, Colombian media reported Thursday.

Avianca Taca, the national carrier, is putting on 206 additional flights, while Copa Airlines Colombia is adding 40 more flights to its schedule.

Avianca-Taca disclosed plans to fly more planes domestically and increase the number of flights to international destinations such as Miami, the Dominican Republic and Mexico.

Copa will also lay on more flights within Colombia and increase the frequency of routes to Uruguay, El Salvador, Honduras, the Dominican Republic and Mexico.
