Colombians do not believe in sex without love and do not cheat

by Adriaan Alsema May 9, 2008

The survey, conducted by El Espectador and Caracol, shows a desirable, but strange picture of the Colombian sexual life; Men start having sex at age 16, while women say they remained virgin until they were 18.Both men and women say they have sex on a regular basis. More than half of the population has sex once upto four times a week.Colombians also claim to be good in bed. Only six percent of the Colombians say they have poor knowledge about sex. 45 percent say they have avarage knowledge. 39 percent claims to know a lot about sex.Contraception remains unpopular in Colombia.  Only a quarter of the Colombians say they use condoms, anti conception pills or other means to prevent pregnancy. The fidelity of Colombians may explain this low figure; 87 percent of the Colombians denies having more than one (regular) sexual partner. 94 percent denies having had sex with the partner of their best friend and an astonishing 82 percent even claims never to have flirted with his best friend’s partner.
