Colombian women’s team to face Sweden and USA at World Cup

The Colombian national women’s soccer team faces a tough challenge in next year’s World Cup, having been drawn into a group with tournament favorites United States and Sweden.

Colombia was drawn into Group C of the tournament, which features 16 teams and takes place in Germany from June 26th to July 17th.

Sweden will be the first opponent for Colombia in the group phase. The match takes place in Leverkusen on June 28th. Four days later, the USA await in the town of Sinsheim.

Colombia play their final group game against what could be considered the weaker team in Group C, Korea DPR, in Bochum on July 6.

The Colombians qualified for the World Cup by finishing second at the South American championships earlier this month.
