Colombian winger nominated for U20 ‘Golden Ball’ award

Colombian winger James Rodriguez is on the shortlist for the Under-20 World Cup “Golden Ball” player of the tournament award.

Rodriguez scored three times for the Cafeteros as the Colombian youngsters progressed to the quarter-finals.

He will compete against nine other starlets nominated by FIFA’s Technical Study Group. The final winner will be chosen by accredited journalists who covered the tournament. They will each choose three players, awarding one player five points, one three points and the other one point.
