Colombian tree sprouts ‘miraculous’ snowballs

A tree in the Colombian department of Bolivar shocked residents with new growth, but instead of green leaves this tree has sprouted snowballs.

Dozens of residents from the town of Correa have gathered to witness the natural phenomenon, which many attribute to mysterious ‘miraculous powers.’

The tree appears to be covered in large hunks of frost, and local resident Maria Amador explained “suddenly, it was help that god sent to us.”

Natives speculate as to what else could be going on with the confusing tree, Agriculturalist Hernelio Marin described the phenomenon, saying “it lets off very cold water, and the bark is all wet.”

Many have begun to gather the ‘holy’ water and distribute it to heal ailments. Resident Ana Navarro said of the snow melt, “I have faith in the little water, that it should cure me”

The snow is permanent, and seems to intensify when the temperature rises. Community members await a biologist to inspect the frosty wonder, while everyone else revels in the confusion
