Colombian tamales now available in Dubai

Residents of the Middle-Eastern city of Dubai no longer have to do without Colombian tamales after a Colombian couple decided their culinary luck in the oil-rich Arab emirate.

The couple, Luis Eduardo Tafur and Edna Milena Perez, opened a restaurant where they serve typical Toliman tamales to their Arab customers.

According to newspaper El Tiempo, a customer described the Colombian food as “something different, weird, exotic, but delicious,” before devouring the tamal entirely.
