The Colombian stock exchange rebounded in 2012 after a decline in the previous year.
According to economic newspaper Portafolio, increased investments in hydrocarbon, mining, and construction helped the stock exchange to grow this year.
Looking ahead, Colombian investors are focusing their attention on several companies to determine expectations for 2013. They include Ecopetrol, Bancolombia, Grupo Sura, and Grupo Aval.
Stock exchanges in Frankfurt, Tokyo, Hong Kong, and Mexico all had better performances with an appreciation of 29, 23, 22.9, and 17% respectively in 2012.
