Colombian soap star falls victim to cyber bullying

Colombian soap actress and one of the country’s “60 hottest stars,” Mabel Cartagena has fallen victim to a nasty bout of e-harassment, with an unidentified hacker creating a copy-cat Twitter account to imitate the star.

The online lurker has made a near identitical Twitter site and bagun masquerading as the actress, leaving Tweets to her “fans.”

The “real Cartagena,” who offline is the host of RCN’s television program “El Lavadora,” was obviously irritated, and began leaving comments saying that she was being threatened and imitated online.

Much to her surprise, the “fake Cartagena,” began to do exactly the same, saying “I am going to sue for slander and use of my name.”

To make matters worse, the Cartagena-poser has even been making threats against the real deal, leaving Tweets saying that “in a short time you will be receiving a little surprise.”

In Colombia this seemingly innocent phrase is commonly considered to mean that something pretty nasty is about to happen.

The online Twitter battle doesn’t look like slowing down anytime soon, with the “fake Cartagena” clearly enjoying imitating the busty (bottle-died) blonde.

Mabel has allegedly made a visit to the country’s intelligence agency and the Prosecutor General’s Office to denounce her stalker.
