Colombian sculptor Suaza exhibits women and bulls in Spain

Colombian sculptor Suaza opened an exhibit in the autonomous community of Extramadura in western Spain Tuesday reported Spanish news agency ABC.

The “Volume Harmony and Colors,” terra cotta and fire clay sculpture exhibit features women and bulls portrayed as protagonists and will be showing in the Diputacion de Badajoz until June 25.

The sculptor who was born Norberto Perez Delgado is a Colombian but has lived in Spain for the last 30 years. He says he is very excited to exhibit in Extremadura because that was the place where he made his first friends upon arriving to the Iberian country.

Suaza’s sculptures are reminiscent of famous Colombian sculptor Fernando Botero but have a distinction in the exaggeration of the female hips.
